Our new Marketing Automation feature allows you to define events, capture real time activity information and trigger actions such as push notifications in Real Time.
The user behaves in a certain way when he is using your app. He visits certain pages, clicks on certain buttons, and spends more time on some pages and less on some. The process of using this user behavior information to the advantage of the App and making marketing decisions on the basis of that can be structured in 3 steps
a. DEFINING EVENTS, The events have to be defined using the Events Service. Some example events for an ecommerce app could be – the user clicked the Add to Cart button inside your app, the user clicked on Proceed to Buy, the user clicked on Close App. Likewise for a gaming app events could be – the user clicked on Exit game, the user has taken more than x minutes to pass a level, the user has finished a particular level. Events will vary depending on the nature of the App.
b. Tracking and Analyzing Events, The above events can be logged using trackEvent method available in the Event Service. Logged events report can be seen inside AppHQ console. Your audience is segmented based on the logged data. The drill down and data comparison options empower you to slice, dice and analyze the data. For example you could derive the geographical distribution of users who added products to their cart but did not actually end up buying. You could extract a line graph that demonstrates the number of users who register vs. the number of users who actually purchase.
c. Triggering Event Actions, Unlike a lot of other marketing automation tools available in the market we do not just give you user behavior insights, we actually recommend the actions that need to be taken to improve conversion statistics. Triggers on events can be in the form of Push Notifications, Emails and In-app messages. Push Notifications are a direct channel to the users of your app. You could keep them engaged with App Updates, Offers and Deals sent directly to their device. You could send push notifications via the AppHQ console whether you are a techie or not. The process of sending push notifications is as simple and intuitive as sending a simple email. The AppHQ console also allows you to schedule your push notifications.
