ShepHertz in association with Amazon Appstore for Android is organizing a webinar on “A live coding session on A/B testing: From Hello Word to a simple A/B Test”. The event is being hosted by Mike Hines who is a Technical Evangelist at Amazon Appstore.
Amazon has a Mobile App Distribution Port or the commonly called Dev Portal. It is free to get an account and once you have signed up, you can download the SDKs to get started with coding your App. The Amazon ecosystem includes APIs for Amazon Web Services which reduce your effort of writing code to the half. The Appstore is also integrated with Amazon.com that enables you to sell physical goods by using the Amazon Mobile Associates API. Third party support is also provided in case you are building a game on game engines like Unity or Cocos2D-x or Marmalade etc.
Once you submit your App on Amazon Appstore, it will not only be available on Kindle Fire devices but on all other Android devices as well. You are also free to submit the same App on other Android stores. But in case you do so, you would be missing out the programs that Amazon has to offer to help you monetize your Apps as these are unique to Amazon Appstore only. After you have published your App on Amazon Appstore, it will show up on almost every Android device and you can find out how they are performing by logging into the Dev Portal and looking at the application management portal which has different reporting surfaces.
You can also check out the video for the first part of the Amazon Boot Camp Series conducted on August 13, 2013:
